DAY
01. - Quito - Lago Agrio by plane (depart
10:30 the same day). or public bus (must leave
one day before). We will travel via bus to the
Chiritza (2 hrs). Lunch. Then we'll travel via
motor canoe down the Aguarico River to our camp.
There is time to visit the community of SEGUAYA,
relax, swim or take a brief excursion into the
surround area. Dinner and lodging in tents. |
DAY 02. - After breakfast
we'll take a long walk in the primary forest with an
Indian guide (3-4 hrs), who will give you an explanation
about the plants used as a natural medicine. Lunch.
In the afternoon we will continue to the next camping
place. Dinner and lodging in tents. Night excursion
( optional, 1 hour ).
DAY 03. - Breakfast we will
take a motor canoe to continue to Zancudo Cocha Lagoon
the nest camping place, in the way its possible see
birds, monkeys, and vegetation. Lunch, dinner. Lodging
in tents.
DAY 04. - After breakfast,
we'll take a long walk in the primary forest with an
Indian guide (3-4 hrs), who will give you an explanation
about the plants used as a natural medicine with any
luck, you'll be able to see birds such as parrots, toucans,
and kingfishers. Lunch. Dinner and lodging in tents.
DAY 05. - At six o’clock
bird watching (1hr optional). After breakfast we will
make an excursion in rowing canoes in one of the lake,
we will also fish for piranhas. Dinner. Night trip by
canoes in search of caimans. Lodging in tents.
DAY 06.- Breakfast. We’ll
travel by motor canoe up the Aguarico River to our camp.
In the way we walk (1 hour) in the jungle. Lunch, dinner.
Lodging in tents.
DAY 07.- After breakfast,
we’ll visit a Shaman of the community SECOYA,
who talk with the group about their traditions, and
medicinal plants. Lodging in tents.
DAY 08.- Breakfast, Journey
up river to the bridge where we’ll take the bus
back to Lago Agrio , transfer to the airport to take
the flight back to Quito. (Or public bus).
The program is flexible and some changes may happen
depending on the availability of the camping places,
weather conditions or tourist interests.
